Hannah illustrates and writes for children. She produces vibrant, detailed pen and ink illustrations and creates characters and stories fuelled with humour and imagination. She is a member of the Association of Illustrators and the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
Born and brought up in London, Hannah was raised, amongst others, on the wonderful Roald Dahl, John Burningham, Judith Kerr and Quentin Blake – not to mention the stories of her eccentric Austrian grandmother. Hannah’s love of words and pictures led her to study art, literature and languages in Edinburgh and Madrid. After working in the Edinburgh art world for several years, in 2010 she relocated to the creative capital of Berlin to explore its artistic scene. Upping sticks to Kreuzberg was the inspirational tonic that led her to pursue her lifelong passion for illustration as a career, so her apartment is now filled with inks, paints and characters all coming to life.
When she's not drawing pictures or inventing stories, you'll find Hannah cycling through the city on a small golden bicycle called Dennis.
