Julie started her writing career on the Wombles and has since worked for the major UK broadcasters in children’s TV in preschool development, scriptwriting and script editing.
In 2007 Julie was nominated for a BAFTA in the primary education category for The Transporters, which she co-developed and scripted. ‘Alphabet Romp’ - a series of animated shorts originated and written by Julie was commissioned by Nick Jr. and aired from 2011.
Julie’s first picture book, ‘Are The Dinosaurs Dead, Dad?’ published by Random House and illustrated by Russell Ayto was shortlisted for the prestigious Irma Black Award in 2014.
Julie lives close to the sea in Brighton.
